LAST SEPTEMBER

This is one of my fav photos I snapped last September at the entrance to Somerset House. Two girls taking photos and having a chat. And looking so chic while they do it.

I'm off to London Fashion Week on Friday and I can't wait! As I'm the Deputy Fashion Editor of my uni paper Nouse, I'll be reporting every day from Somerset House and from some of the shows.

I may not have time for that much blogging but follow me on Instagram to keep up to date with my explorations!

3.1

NYFW is just a fountain of inspiration this year. And none have got it more spot on (except perhaps Alexander Wang) than Phillip Lim. His 3.1 collection is just beautiful. Mesh, marble, sheer and all things beautifully printed, I just want all of it!!

ABSENT BUT THOUGHTFUL

So I have been very much absent from the blog and I'm very sorry about this. But now I'm going to try and be better as, from tomorrow, I am 20!!!!! Its my birthday and so its the start of a new year, a new older (but no more mature me!)

And I've been doing a lot of thinking....

So the Fashion Weeks of New York, London, Milan and Paris were all pretty exceptional. But there has been one area of Fashion Week that has been critiqued more than others. The rise of the Streetstyle photographer seems to be taking over the world slightly. More and more people seem to be dressing to be photographed rather than dressing to please themselves. Clothes should be an expression of a personality, not a cry to be noticed.

Below is a video done by Garage Magazine which explores this craziness!

Anyway hope you enjoyed my little ramble...because there are going to be many more from now on!

Here's to a new year and sticking to your own sense of style.
