So imagine my delight when a little package arrived in my hands from a gorgeous boy...

MONDAY MOTIVATION #2

This week's motivational quote is from an amazing book I was given for my b-day (you can just see the bottom of the card stuck in the front!) 

Note: I always do this with books I'm given so in the future I know who gave me what and when.

It's called "Change Your Mind: 57 Ways to Unlock your Creative Self" by Rod Judkins. 

It's amazing and so inspiring. Give it a read if you're stuck in a rut or if you just want a bit of a lift on a Monday. Even if it is a bank holiday in England!

So here it is. 

My first ever Liberty silk scarf.

And it couldn't be more perfect.

My best friends gave it to me for my b-day and apparently spent over an hour choosing it! And they chose well. A French Art Nouveau swirly floral pattern called Ianthe. How fancy is that?!

For one who does not wear colour you may ask how I can possibly fit something this lively into my wardrobe. And the answer I give is that is precisely why it fits so perfectly into it. It goes with everything I already own and looks great with my brown hair. 

All in all it is my most glamourous item to date and one I shall be taking up the mountain with me.

So turning 21 doesn't happen every day...so I've managed to stretch it out for a good 10 days!

Starting with a dinner with my parents in London, followed by a weekend in Paris and now just getting ready for an epic party this evening!

I for one cannot wait. 

Got to go. There's a party to be organised!

21 is going to be a good old year.

CATCH UP

So for those of you who follow me on Instagram, you will know why I've been blog silent for the weekend. I've been incredibly busy turning 21 and going to Paris!!

It has been one of the best weekends I've ever had. Paris is a city I'd never been to before but I shall defo be going back to. 

Beautiful buildings, delicious pastries and unbelievable views, Paris you were good to me.

Here's just a cheeky snap shot. I still have to go through all my hundreds of photos so stay tuned for a full run down of my weekend's activities.

ABSENT BUT THOUGHTFUL

So I have been very much absent from the blog and I'm very sorry about this. But now I'm going to try and be better as, from tomorrow, I am 20!!!!! Its my birthday and so its the start of a new year, a new older (but no more mature me!)

And I've been doing a lot of thinking....

So the Fashion Weeks of New York, London, Milan and Paris were all pretty exceptional. But there has been one area of Fashion Week that has been critiqued more than others. The rise of the Streetstyle photographer seems to be taking over the world slightly. More and more people seem to be dressing to be photographed rather than dressing to please themselves. Clothes should be an expression of a personality, not a cry to be noticed.
