CHRISTMAS LIFE LESSONS

Christmas is a'coming and as I was rushing out of the door this morning to do some last minute shopping, I accidentally stopped to trawl the internet and found this hilariously eye-opening article on ManRepeller.

It examines the tradition that is the annual watching of Love Actually. But alongside this it gives the ultimate tips in how to handle the Christmas party/dating season.

I for one will never look at this film in the same way.

And I'll be keeping an eye on those Christmas party lurkers...

Three hours later, my trawling is complete and now I'm off. Oxford Street in all its revolting packed glory calls.

OFF DUTY

Now that the dissertation is in, I've escaped from uni and am officially off the radar.

Well, kind of. Instagram doesn't count ok?

Secluded country house, beautiful gardens, sporadic sun, heated massage beds. 

Living in a bath robe & those flappy hotel slippers. You know the ones that are always too big. Sometimes with underwear, sometimes without. 

Total & utter bliss.

Back to reality tomorrow but for now, I'm out.

MONDAY MOTIVATION #17

Saw this photo on Lucy Williams', of Fashion Me Now fame, post about New York and it just grabbed me straight away.

At the moment I'm in full dissertation mode so life is quite monotonous and I know this must be the case for a lot of people out there. 

But I've got a few exciting things happening alongside that and it's starting to get sunnier and so, to all of you stressing out there, stuck inside four library walls,

The most gorgeous editorial I've seen in a long time.

Finally England is beginning to feel like summer (although as I write this a rather ominous black cloud is looming...). 

And Jess Hart on location for Net-A-Porter is just making me dream of the beach, the sea and sun kissed skin.

Now I just need to chuck out that packet of cookies...

Oh and sorry for the radio silence. We've all finished exams at uni and so have been busy letting our hair down, so to speak.

# NEW YEAR

2014. New Year. New resolutions. I've made 10 that I'm writing down so that I have to stick to them! I'll keep you posted as to how I'm getting on. Good luck with yours!

1. No snacking. Bad stuff that is,

2. Gym more. At least 2 times a week. That's realistic.

3. Drink water. And hot water with lemon. Apparently its good for you or something!

4. Be content.

5. Travel, on the cheap. Europe is right there after all.

6. Cook more. Experiment and be adventurous! At least within a student budget.

7. Take more photos. And print them out!

8. Learn to skateboard!

9. Be brave. Go & get it. Whatever that may be.

10. Carry notebooks everywhere. Write. Stick. Draw.
