JUST A GIRL

I don't even know where to start with the perfection of this shoot.

Those eyebrows; that skin; the asymmetric eyeliner (hello new weekend go-to); the wet-look hair; the gorgeous single earring; that bustier jumpsuit.

Beautiful. Simple. Perfection.

I want in.

BORROWED FROM THE BOYS

As it gets colder and colder, my ability to dress myself in nice and interesting attire disappears, replaced with a desire to wear layer upon layer of cashmere and thermal underwear.

This shoot featuring the gorgeous Toni Garrn and shot by the incredible Matthew Brookes proves that actually, layering is key. And it can be really rather sexy. 

A slouchy hoodie underneath an oversized blazer.

A huge bomber worn with a straight legged trouser.

It appears there are ways of beating the cold in a non-bag-lady, I'm so basic, kinda way.

I also enjoy the fact that, even though this is a shoot for a men's mag, the model's sexiness is subtle and understated, hidden beneath men's clothing rather than overtly, nakedly revealed to the male readers.

She looks beautifully undone, something I'm currently trying to master.

For now though, I'll keep my ten year old beanie and thermal undies I guess.

SIDEWALK SLOUCHING

The sun has kind of got its hat on. Well more like one of those incredible creations that are a hat with an umbrella attachment (my grandfather insists on sporting a rather fetching rainbow number).

And this editorial just seem to capture my mood when I was getting dressed this morning.

Slouchy but thin layers, the freshest pair of trainers, a glimpse of bare leg and a mane of tousled locks. 

Obviously mane aside, that's the look I'm currently sporting...or attempting to anyway.

Jacket weather never looked so good.

SLIPS & SLEEVES

It's no secret that I have a totally huge adoration for Daria.

Everything she seems to touch/pose in/photograph just turns to gold.

This latest Marie Claire France campaign is no exception.

I love it when it gets to March. There's just a feeling of hopeful promise in the air; an excitement of expectation that January and February bury beneath their freezing exterior.

Not that we're there yet.

But the magazine industry are of course months ahead of us...ok just the one but still.

They know what's coming.

And if it's anything like these photos, I for one can't wait.

It is from my sick bed that I write. Me and the rest of the world right?!

Why is it, second week into January, when everything is picking up, when the to do list is ever lengthening, that one always ALWAYS gets sick?! 

I'm bored and kind of hungry but not really. And completely addicted to The Affair. 

Not all bad I guess.

Also stumbled across this incredible shoot from last months British Vogue. Making me dream of being sun kissed and wrapped in a big striped button-down shirt. Oh and shot by one of the most amazing photographers in the bizz.

Fashion's prince is of course Tim Walker, a weaver of fairytales and a genius in every sense of the word.

Now, I wasn't a fan of Fifty Shades of Grey...but Dakota Johnson...she's another story.

Effortlessly gorgeous, stylish and with the coolest hair in the bizz, Johnson positively sizzles in this latest editorial for AnOther Magazine.

ESCAPE

Such a gorgeous shoot...of course what the rest of my Greece photos look like...behind the scenes and all that.

And with England pulling out all the stops on the weather front this shoot seemed like the perfect inspiration on a beaut Sunday evening.
